A question about a recipe: Bourbon Chocolate Bread Pudding

I have a question about the ingredient "turbinado sugar" on the recipe "Bourbon Chocolate Bread Pudding" from student epicure.I'm in Brazil,so I'm sorry, but I don't know what kind of sugar this is.Is it the kind you use less cause it's stronger or am I way of?

Can you get Demarara sugar? It's similar to turbinado, more like what it's supposed to be instead of what it is.
(nice to see you, mensaque!)

You can use regular sugar. Turbinado is coarser and a little less sweet.
