Prunes are always dried or they would be called fresh plums. But not all prunes are equal. Organic small production prunes are from another planet! They are very, very delicious. Hamada Farms in CA produces wonderful prunes, some are golden.

Fresh prunes are plums. And dried plums are prunes.
