Is Farmers Cheese the same as cream cheese? Bought b/c looked more natural, next to each other in grocery store?

have always loved farmers cheese, bought some recently and used in combination with feta in a dish. it can freeze which is good since it seems to come in big package. anyone familiar with something called pot cheese, sort of like a small curd cottage cheese, ate as a child in a dish my mother used to make. seems not in stores anymore..

Not the same, no. Farmer cheese is less creamy than cream cheese -- more like a cross between ricotta and feta. But delicious!
