Is it worth while to try making homemade clotted cream?

Just got back from my first trip to London and fell in love with clotted cream. I can probably find it here, but will have to go way out of my way. It seems pretty easy to make, but the milk obviously won't be from those cows who are fed on that lush English grass. Has anyone tried it?
