When do you need to use the oven in the recipe?

I have a question about step 1 on the recipe "Caramelized Onion, Goat Cheese and Thyme Pierogi" from Table9. It says:

"Preheat oven to 350 degrees. "

Sorry Purple_Snail, that is not supposed to be in the recipe. I have deleted it from the recipe. Thanks.

It doesn't appear you will be using the oven. I would ignore step 1.
