Opinel

France
Joseph Opinel, a third-generation metalworker, designed his first pocket knife in 1890. Over 130 years later, its design is still considered one of the most important in history. In 1985, the Victoria and Albert Museum named the Opinel knife one of the 100 best designed objects in the world. Like a great family recipe, Opinel’s knives are the sort that get passed on and shared.
