Each week, we'll be scanning through recipes for exceptional photos from our community, and sharing our favorites.
Today: When the weather gets colder and tomatoes are a thing of the past, our favorite community photos from the A&M Smackdown/ Your Best Tomato Recipe contest will keep us satisfied until next summer.
It's more than just a coincidence that the most summery colors -- red, orange, yellow, and green -- are the same shades as the season's most special fruit (yes, fruit). Tomatoes are so bright and beautiful, it's shameful to hide them. Our latest contest placed tomatoes front and center, and so did our favorite community photos. Whether you nestled tomatoes in a tart crust or blended them in a creamy soup, you let their bold colors shine through. When the summer ends and tomatoes are just a thing of our dreams, these photographs will keep us satisfied until the weather warms up again.
