Definitely! If you do not want to chill it you can place the ganache bowl into ice bowl..i mean a bowl full of ice to thicken it on the spot.. I make Choc fudge cake with ganache everytime ..its my husbands favourite..i would like to attach a picture..also..

After you make the ganache, chill it for 24 hours in the fridge. It should become very thick. Take out of the fridge 30 min or more before frosting. Enjoy!!!!!
