Plain, white, granulated sugar plus molasses is what brown sugar is. So you can make it at home. If you don't have molasses try B-Grade maple syrup, although it may add Maple Syrup flavor to your food. Ratios for molasses and sugar should be about: light - 1.5 Tbsp Molasses to 1 Cup Sugar; dark - 3 Tbsp Molasses to 1 Cup Sugar.
