I have a question about step 1 on the recipe "Curried Beef and Red Lentil Stew" from Sonali aka the Foodie Physician. It says:
"Soak the lentils in water overnight. Rinse and set aside. "
Assuming the red lentils are the split masoor dal type lentils, I don't think there's any need to soak them. I typically just rinse and cook them.
Look at the comments with the recipe -- it's very flexible!
