Are bread tins different to ordinary (cake) tins?

A tin (pan) meant for bread is most definitely different than a cake tin (pan). It should resemble a rectangle and have a depth of four inches or so.

I think its a loaf pan or tin that you are referring to, the kind you make quick breads like banana bread etc.. different from a cake pan
