What is the most useful size for a cast iron skillet if I can only buy one?

I mostly cook for two, and I want to use the skillet for things like cornbread, frittatas, fruit desserts, etc. I'm thinking that 10" would be right and 12" too large. Is this right?

My 10" pan is one of the best multi-purpose pans I own.

This is helpful. That's what I was thinking after reading a lot of cast iron pot recipes.

I use my 8" all the time. Either 8 or 10. I agree that 12 is too large especially for corn bread
