Shameless plug department, section Central Coast

For those of you who read the New York Times on Sunday do check out the Style magazine section today (9/23) under "Places". It covers pierino's home town in some detail for wine, olive and cheeses as well as other great places on California's Central Coast. And of course pierino is always willing to provide concierge services to visiting Food52ers.

I loved the article, and still miss many aspects of CA. I'll be in touch when next in the neighborhood. And I'll bring my copy of Lucky Peach 1, too.

Funny, I was just looking for a place outside of LA to get a group of friends together for a fun outing of wine tasting, etc. This looks perfect. If I come, I'll let you know, P. And I still have that Issue 1 of Lucky Peach, so perhaps you have something to trade...

It's in the "T" magazine - a special quarterly Style magazine supplement published in The New York Times newspaper - size of the Sunday magazine. (But not in the regular Style sections of the newspaper.)
