Substitute for raspberry wine vinegar

I am making a cranberry chutney that has raspberries in it. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup raspberry wine vinegar, but I don't have any. May I use white wine vinegar instead? I can't imagine it would make much difference other than enhancing the flavor of the rasp. Thanks

I tried the raspberry jam in white vinegar suggestion and it worked perfectly as a substitute for raspberry vinegar in my cranberry chutney recipe! Thanks for the great tip.

Simmer the 3/4 cup vinegar with a couple spoonfuls of raspberry jam (or even strawberry will work), Do not boil, strain, cool and use.

I think that would work fine...or even red wine vinegar. Sounds yummy!
