Can you freeze pumpkin puree?

I made a batch of fresh pumpkin puree from a candy pumpkin. I'd like to hold on to some of it for a few weeks. Will it be okay if I freeze it?

I like to freeze purees like that in ice cube trays, so I can thaw a small amount at a time (like for a batch of scones).
