Pastry cream = custard. Protein + moisture (absent preservatives) = danger. Three days, assuming it reached pasteurization during preparation (which they typically do as they thicken).

Does it have raw eggs? If so, I wouldn't keep it more than 2-3 days, like homemade mayo. If not, maybe a week?
