I have a question about the recipe "Chocolate, Coconut & Caramel Slice" from From The Kitchen. What is the amount of butter needed? 2 different sweetened condensed milk a typo?
I would try contacting the author of this recipe directly--there are a couple issues with the recipe that I don't feel confident demystifying.
Suzanne is a trusted source on General Cooking.
I went to her blog and here is the correct amounts:
250g butter, softened
2/3 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup dessicated coconut
1 tin sweetened condensed milk
1 tin condensed milk caramel
60g butter, softened
1 tbsp golden syrup
She is in New Zealand and there is a canned caramel condensed milk. you can do it yourself if you cannot find here is something from wiki http://www.wikihow.com...
Thanks so much!
