How to fix barbeque sauce that's too tangy

I just made barbeque sauce and it's way too tangy. I thought the recipe called for too much cider vinegar. Any suggestions on how to take it down a notch?

You can thin it out with water or a sweet fruit juice. Adding more ketchup may help a bit, but it also has some acidity. You might try adding some honey or brown sugar to balance out the acidity

That definitely helped tame it a bit. Thank you!
