Does Lacinato kale go better with garbanzos or beans?

Italians call lacinato kale "black cabbage" and in a way it's like a little black dress--it goes with just about anything. Garbanzos (chickpeas) are only one type of dried bean that you can easily serve with kale. White beans, lentils and cranberry beans are a few others.
