Hi Polly, I've never heard of sweet fire pickles, but I have made the Seven Day Sweet Pickles (link here: https://food52.com/recipes/22444-seven-day-sweets-luvey-s-sweet-pickles#comments) and added five jalapenos to the mix. They were mighty spicy. Most online references to sweet fire pickles suggest they are made wtih the same brine and spices as bread and butter pickles, but made with both cucumbers and jalapenos.
