Pickling milkweed pods

I am planning to pickle milkweed pods, any first-hand experiences? I am looking at different recipes, they contain conflicting information about boiling to remove bitterness or no boiling necessary. I do not need recipe ideas, unless you have one that you have made yourself. Thanks!
