Pickling milkweed pods

I am planning to pickle milkweed pods, any first-hand experiences? I am looking at different recipes, they contain conflicting information about boiling to remove bitterness or no boiling necessary. I do not need recipe ideas, unless you have one that you have made yourself. Thanks!

I'm sorry you haven't received an answer to this yet. You might want to consider sending a direct message to our resident forager, Tama Matsuoka Wong, who writes the column Where The Wild Foods Are (https://food52.com/blog...). To do so, just click the envelope button on her profile page (found here: https://food52.com/users...), perhaps she'll be able to help.
