A question about a recipe: The Easiest Chocolate Meringue Ice Cream Cake

I have a question about the recipe "The Easiest Chocolate Meringue Ice Cream Cake" from Ina-Janine. When is the side (ring) of the springform pan removed?

Hi Linda! I remove the side (ring) when the ice cream cake is frozen before decorating it with chocolate. You could of course decorate it with the ring still on, but I like the slightly wobbly freehand look.

Hi Linda, You can remove the springform side after the cake has been refrigerated overnight (before you decorate it).
