I roasted blue hubbard squash & didn't puree while warm. Now it's quite gummy. I don't want to ruin my pies. Help!

Warm them up in the microwave until warmed through, but not hot or overcooked, and you'll be fine.

I would love to hear how they turn out. I have 3 red hubbard squash to use up but have no idea what to do with them.

I think they are ok. It's a like a mousse and what little I had left seemed ok. I have some leftover that I may try to use for whoopee pies. I'll let you know :) Hubbards are generally very good for pies.

Hi There, I don't think it should matter what temperature you puree the squash. It could be the squash itself. You could try taking a small sample of it and either mixing it with some canned pumpkin puree or with water to see if that helps with the texture. Good Luck!

I added some water while it was pureeing…still was gummy. I used it anyway. I made a chiffon pumpkin pie. We will see! Thank you!
