I agree that the Genius recipe column always has gems that are creative, original and extremely reliable. I also love Merrill's Cooking for Clara column for easy, quick, family oriented dishes.

Very forgiving and fool-proof. Has saved many a summer dessert I’ve had to make for big groups of people, usually in wet bathing suits and starving for dinner after coming back from the beach. Who had time to make a dessert before going to the beach. You can make this in no time. Ice cream is a great accompaniment. (It also works well in other seasons: apples, plums.)
The perfect shoes to go with this dress: this is the best hack for a tart pan, in case you don’t have one, or need to double or triple the recipe for a larger group. Works very well.

Also, just made this tart (with the addition of bacon as a garnish) and I was incredibly pleased. Will certainly make it again.
