I have a question about the recipe "Brown butter and butternut loaf" from fiveandspice. Could I substitute canned butternut squash? And if I want to freeze one of the loaves, should I leave it unfrosted?

You could use canned, unspiced pumpkin too....the flavor difference between the two is negligible, especially when canned.
