I've sliced potatoes and even added oil and some onions for frying and must suddenly stop and leave. Can I save them for tomorrow somehow?

That is something I don't know, but my gut tells me know. I have frozen cooked potatoes in stew and wasn't thrilled, but I don't know about raw. If they are coated in oil, they will be fine for a couple of days.
