Uncooked beans in chili

I screwed up badly. I soaked beans for 36 hours because I didn't have time to cook as planned this weekend. I made a big pot of chili this morning and threw them in. Needless to say, I forgot to soak the beans first. Now they're hard and don't want to soften.

I know better than to cook beans in acid but it's too late. Is there any way to save them?

Just keep cooking them. They should eventually soften but maybe not in time to eat tonight.
