a friend gave me a salt brick I think its called, your supposed to season it in oven and you can cook fish, etc on. any advice on how to season this have read varied articles, none agree. also can it tolerate high heat, or not.

Also, no need to salt foods before cooking. The block imparts a mild salty flavor - but not overly salty at all. Delicious!
