You can't imagine how fast bacteria can grow once uncooked food is left out or unfinished. My mother-in-law worked in a public school cafeteria and there were strict rules about food be left out below a certain temperature.Not worth the risk.
Whenever an "is it still safe to eat it?" question comes up, sadly, the answer is almost always no. Better safe than sorry.
