I scoop the amount I needed out to a microwaveable bowl (small bowl), and add a tablespoon of olive oil on top of it and put into microwave to reheat for 1min with the top cover with some plastic container, not air tight.. Turn out warm and soft and just nice :)

What about adding a teaspoon or two of water to the hummus to smooth it out, then put in the microwave for 10-15 seconds in intervals until its the desired warm consistency you like?

I'd recommend adding a touch of hot water and heating it on the stove in a small sauce pan or saute pan. Just keep stirring it constantly until it's warm and the texture is where you want it. Once you've had warm hummus there is no going back!

Have the same problem and haven't solved it.
My reaction so far - make fewer and smaller batches of hummus, to have it fresh more often.
