A question about a recipe: Wild Mushroom Stroganoff with Red Miso

I have a question about the recipe "Wild Mushroom Stroganoff with Red Miso" from Savory Love. Want yo try this as a vegetarian recipe. Would you start with sautéing the mushrooms in butter and add the additional dried mushrooms soaked in water along with the broth and sherry? I am confused in when to add the soaked dried mushrooms? Thanks!

I'd saute the soaked mushrooms along with the fresh ones.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see dried mushrooms in this recipe.
