How do I store jam filled cookies?

If i bake the cookie parts first and the day before I serve them, put the jam inside the cookies as a sandwich cookie, how would I store them overnight? Would it be best to fill them with jam the same day as I serve them but if I do i put them in the fridge?

I assume you're worried about the cookies absorbing moisture from the jam; I really haven't found it to be a problem for a couple of days ordinary storage with the types I've made, though fresher is always to be preferred.
