When should I add the jam to my linzer cookies?

I want to bake the cookies the day before I serve them, but will they get soggy if I leave the jam in the cookies overnight? Should I put them in the refrigerator?

Soggy shouldn't be a problem, at least with the recipe I use they keep fine with standard cookie care- a well covered container at room temp.
