A question about a recipe: Marcella Hazan’s Croccante (2-Ingredient Almond Brittle)
I have a question about the recipe "Marcella Hazan’s Croccante (2-Ingredient Almond Brittle)" from Genius Recipes. May I use Hazelnuts? if so whole chopped, etc ? my husband not fond of almonds but LOVES hazelnuts.
You should be able to use hazelnuts. You can toast them first and wrap in a kitchen towel until cool. This will loosen the skins. Keep them in the towel, gather the ends together and twist a little, then rub them energetically while in the towel. Most of the skins will have come off. Open carefully in the sink--it's messy and the skins fly around. Chop them per the recipe and continue.
