If I want to freeze the dough, should I do the resting in the fridge first and then freeze, or will it do what it needs to do if I put it straight...

... in the freezer

I use a small ice cream scoop and shape the dough into balls. Place in cookie sheet and into the freezer for 20 minutes or until balls are firm. Then place them in a freezer proof container. I love it as so can one or a dozen cookies whenever so get a craving. They keep well for a couple of months. 400 degree oven, right out of the freezer, 8-9 minutes.

You can just put them straight in the freezer.
