I live way out in the country 3 hours from a good sized city. Does anyone have a online store they’d recommend?

Where are you? Many American cities have Asian stores that sell Japanese ingredients. Also well stocked supermarkets usually have an "international" section where you can buy dry and bottled ingredients.
