sandra, i am not directing my comment to you but to the mad. makers. plse forgive me but this is one of stupidest recipes i have seen in my long life. it was created by the people who make their EXPENSIVE little pretties, so of course they're trying to sell you on any ideas that will spark a purchase. expensive delicate madeleines, prized as an ethereal eating experience on their own, are here-in used as GROUND CAKE CRUMBS???
aside from being irrational, why would you want soft crust with a creamy cheesecake insides? there.s a reason for crunchy crust imo. however, if you DO want that soft crust, buy a cheap loaf pound cake for same crumbs.
