Canned tomatoes - drain first?

Don't have any fresh tomatoes on-hand. If I used canned, diced tomatoes, should I drain them first?

I, on the other hand, probably wouldn't unless I had some specific use for the liquid. Partly native cheapness, but also the sauce can be reduced if necessary, and it may be anyway- tomatoes can vary a lot, but fresh tomatoes are going to release a good deal of liquid when cooked, probably a good deal more than the drained diced tomatoes will contain.

If you use canned tomatoes, I would drain them. But I'd reserve the tomato juice, and taste the dish towards the end of cooking in case I thought it would benefit from some extra tomato flavor - the pictures look pretty saucy, though I can't tell how much of that is pepper vs tomato.
