Some family members just marinate in Dale's... I much prefer to actually taste my meat, but each to her/his own. With a good cut of steak, I would just season well with salt on both sides, put on a rack over a baking pan and slide back into the fridge for a couple hours to let the outsides dry out a bit... they will get a nice crust when grilled and the interiors will have absorbed some of that salt and remain nice and juicy.
