Pork shoulder crockpot recipe from Eric - how to adjust cook time for smaller roast

I made this recipe very successfully and now want to replicate the success. But, the recipe calls for a 5 pound roast and mine is 2.27 pounds. How should I adjust the slow cooker time? Making it today.

You'll want to cook that pork roast in the slow cooker for nearly the same amount of time, even though it's not quite half the size. It will take just a bit less time to cook, because it won't take quite as long to heat the smaller roast all the way through in the first instance - but that difference will not reduce the overall cooking time appreciably.

That said, I often find that the times suggested in slow cooker recipes, especially for roasts, end up being too long, so I routinely check about 3/4 of the way through. I'd do that here, too. ;o)
