How do I fix the bitter taste from adding lemon juice to soup too soon?

I accidentally added lemon juice to my soup in the very beginning of cooking instead of waiting until the end. It tasted wonderful about 20 minutes into cooking, but after simmering for a while longer, the soup became very bitter. What can I add to fix this?

Can you share the recipe or tell us what type of soup you made with the lemon juice?

I was making a lemon chicken orzo soup in my slow cooker. I don't have an exact recipe, but this is the closest one I could find (except mine doesn't include any cream... the other ingredients are the same). Instead of adding lemon juice at the very end, I added it at the onset of cooking.
