Are there specific types of beer/wine that work better for this recipe?
Just wondering if there are specific types of beer/wine that work better for this than others. I don't drink beer or wine, but I will cook with them. For other recipes, I tend to favor a brown ale style beer. Would that be too dark for this? Would a hard cider be a good option instead of beer?
