Making it more like a true Golden Milk

I'd like to make this closer to a true golden milk by using coconut milk. Do you think I can simply replace the evaporated milk with coconut milk?

Hi Rhianna! Yes you can swap them out. I wrote a coconut based flan recipe (https://food52.com/recipes/81903-lime-coconut-flan-recipe) I would follow this and use golden milk spices in place of coconut extract and lime zest. Enjoy!
