My Mom wold make a cookie like this but the filling was a walnut mixture.
the dough was very thin and she rolled it out in sugar nut flour. the filling was a crushed walnut mixed with egg whites and sugar I think. She would chill the filling over night. We called them Polish Cookies because my Dad was Polish. I'm not sure where she got the recipe from and never seen one like it. Thank You for your help. Kathy Schnepp
