If you have the Oxo type silicone sling made for the Instant Pot, then yes- it replaces the little metal trivet that came with the pot. The pot will sit on it, and the handles should come upwards along the sides towards the lid. Once your pot is in place, you can fold the handles over the top of the pan, close the lid, and proceed with cooking. The nice thing about the silicone sling is that you can leave it in place while the cheesecake cools enough to be chilled. It cools off fairly quickly, and won't burn or mar your countertop. And yes- it's a lot more sturdy and safe than a foil sling.
