I tried to make maple candy with maple and vanilla, I followed two recipes and how my maple syrup is a little thick but not hard
ideally I would like to cook again, but I dont think it will work. but I can I make it into a cluster with nuts and coconut? how do I get it a little thicker, can I cook it again?

Can you provide the 2 recipes that you used? If you have a candy thermometer, you would have to cook the candy to the 'hard crack' stage, 149-154 C or 300-310 F. Mixing in nuts and coconut could probably make soft, loose clusters that may crumble or fall apart easily.
