Help. Raw bacon in scalloped potatoes

I put raw bacon in my scalloped potatoes without thinking. Will it cook?

Yeah, probably. But the dish might be very greasy, and the bacon flaccid. It it was me, I'd take the time to fish out the bacon, wash it, cook it and add it back in.

It will likely cook enough for it to be safe to eat, but the consistency may not be all you’d like.
