Partially frozen chicken. I took my whole chicken out from the to roast an hour ago and I realised that one leg had frozen in the fridge

I took my whole chicken out from the to roast an hour ago and I realised that one leg had frozen in the fridge. It doesn’t seem to be defrosting at all. Can I get around this ASAP?

You can submerge in a bowl of cold (not hot!) water for 1/2 hour. Or, simply start to cook. If it is only the leg then I think you will be all right; by the time the cavity and joints are cooked through, the leg will be too.

also, if you do put it in the oven now, position it (per Samin Nosrat's recommendations for roasting chicken) with the legs facing the hottest part of the oven (the rear wall).
