Substitute for the chili crisp sauce?

This recipe looks wonderful, and I'm looking to use up some miso I have in the fridge. I'm not into too much spice though, and wonder if there's anything I can substitute for the Lao Gan Ma chili sauce. (I'm also a little concerned about hunting for it during the pandemic, I like to get in, get out of the store!)

Hi! If you aren't a fan of spicy food, you could skip the chile crisp altogether. Or replace it with whatever spicy-ish thing you like—hot sauce, chile flakes, or even just black pepper. Then maybe add a drizzle of olive oil or sesame oil to make up for the missing richness.

SReilley - have a look at the attached recipe for a homemade version of the sauce, and use whatever you have on hand (some or all of garlic, onion, chili pepper, oil) to replace the commercial version in your dish.
