Are Mexican and Greek oregano interchangeable?

Or are there some dishes for which Mexican is preferred, and others for which Greek is preferred? Thank you. ;o)

I believe Mexican oregano tastes mintier than Greek. In small amounts, I think they'd be fine substitutes!
